FAQs

What's your creation process?

I primarily work with the copper foil style of stained glass, also known as Tiffany style. I purchase sheet glass in various colors from suppliers, score and cut it into rough shapes, and grind it into precise shapes. Then I apply adhesive copper foil, burnish it until smooth, and solder the piece together. I add hardware to the completed piece, clean and polish it thoroughly, and then it’s ready to display! All of my patterns are hand-drawn by me using Procreate and an iPad.

Where do you ship & how long does it take?

Currently, I only ship within the United States.

Your order will ship from Portland, Oregon via USPS within 2 business days of the order being placed. Most orders will arrive within a total of 7 business days if shipped via Ground Advantage or 5 business days for Priority. Tracking information will be provided when your order ships.

Do you take commissions?

Possibly! I consider commissions on a case by case basis and will only accept projects which I'm excited to work on. A few broad guidelines:

  • I am particularly interested in creating abstract, geometric, and/or floral pieces.
  • I am usually down to make one of my existing patterns in custom colors.
  • I am generally not interested in pet portraits or landscapes.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss what you have in mind.

Why do your prices vary?

My pricing is determined by 4 things: size, complexity, whether the pattern is one-of-a-kind, and the cost of the glass used to make the piece.

The price of sheet glass varies greatly based on the production process and also the color itself. Premium glass such as certain shades of pink, purple, and red, dichroic glass, or mouthblown glass can be exceptionally expensive to procure - sometimes over $2.50 per square inch - which factors in to the final price.

What is your return policy?

Due to the handmade nature of my pieces, I do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if your order is lost or arrives damaged, I will of course compensate you! I also guarantee the durability of my pieces as long as they are appropriately treated. If your piece becomes damaged due to a structural fault, please let me know and I’ll be happy to work out a solution.

How do I care for my glass?

Please display your pieces indoors, out of reach of children and pets. Never use an adhesive-based hanging solution or a suction hook! Glass should be suspended from sturdy hardware with an appropriate weight rating, such as correctly installed picture hanging hooks. If your glass becomes dirty or dull, you can polish it with a soft cloth and a wax-based polish, such as car polish.

For glass garlands, please stick to a maximum of 8 standard-sized pendants per garland, and don't suspend more than 2 pendants from the bottom of a mini charm.

Is glass safe to handle?

The solder lines in my stained glass pieces contain lead, which is harmful if ingested or inhaled. My pieces are safe to handle with your bare hands, but please wash thoroughly with soap and water as soon as you’ve finished.
